Strange Icon and Naming

Hi,

I recently came back to find find that my unraid server had shut down and when restarted emby now shows a red circle icon on all the movies and all the movies in the library have the same name, for example:

 5d97643b884d5_Emby1.jpg

All the movies are shown with the red circle, top right hand corner and the same title 'Targoviste Castle and Hoia-Baciu Forest'. However, if I click into the movie, then the title is correct:

5d9764c01e81d_Emby2.jpg

What does the red circle mean, and why is emby showing the wrong title in the library, but not when you click on a movie?

I have tried scanning the library, and refreshing the metadata, but neither has fixed the title and the red icon is still being shown?

Just in case it helps, I run emby v4.2.1.0 in a docker through Unraid. It looks like all the other libraries are fine, not showing the red icon and showing the correct title within the library.

Edit: Just checked all the various movie folders and they all show the same, red circle and wrong title. The only place where it is correct for the movies is within the collections library. No red circle or incorrect title??

Cheers

C

Hi Luke,

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see you had replied.

No, I resolved the issue by removing the libraries, then re-adding them, emby then re-scanned my entire movie collection and all seems correct now.

If I'm correct, the red icon is the record icon as used on live TV, but where it got the title from, I have no idea as I have never had any movie with that title.

Hi Luke,

Its happend again, but this time the title is 'Star of India'. Never heard of it nor do I have a movie of said name:

So I did a bit of rooting around the log and have found this (sorry, I couldn't work out how to imbed a log file):

So it appears a live TV Recording is triggering the name change and for the red icon to appear. I have a HDHOMERUN Quatrro running through Emby and using the Emby TV Guide. As you can see, the title 'Star of India' is mentioned in that part of the log, and maybe linked to TVDB????

Also just to confirm this is the Live TV recording schedule that seems to be causing the issue:

The times don't appear to tie up with the recordings and emby, but that could be a mute point.

Lol, and we have a name change:

Guess another Live TV Recording is about to start. Actually more worryingly, even though there are Live TV Programs scheduled, the ones in the past never end up in the TV Recording folder anyway, its completely blank.

Yes, they were scheduled recordings. When emby starts to record the program from the schedule, thats where the issue arises.

Hi,

When there is an active recording my Movie library, Next Up etc all have the recording icon next to them and the Movie title disappears leaving just the year?  Screenshots and logs attached :-) Also the active recording image is an impossibly large icon!

Tonight I noticed that the library media is showing red record series and everything shows the same title, but posters are correct

How would I fix this? I'm attempting a library refresh now644a2169c45bae7e595f87633361d9b9.jpg

Hi.  Your post wasn't deleted - it was merged with this topic because they are the same issue.

Thanks.

Same issue here. I have restarted the Emby server but right as a recording was starting as well. So having to wait until all recording are completed and I will retry again.

Okay so what I found is that I was recording Running Wild with Bear Gryles. I also found that in the recording directory I ended up with two folders with the same name the only difference is was one was Running Wild With Bear Gryles and the was Running Wild with Bear Gryles. I do have MCE buddy running to convert the TS files into mp4 and also renaming the files when they are completed. I think somehow Emby and the folder structure got confused and caused the weird issue show above. Once my recordings were completed, everything was back to normal. I have copied over the files into the Running Wild With Bear Gryles and removed the duplicate folder and will see if it happens again. But for now everything looks fine.

Hi, Can someone please take a look at this please?  every time something records my whole library becomes the name of what is being recorded with a red dod on the artwork and timeline as well.  (pictures and logs posted on post #14)

Currently my entire library is Peppa Pig!

Doesn't seem to effect Music or TV Shows but it does effect next up tv shows..
