lennartwong 0
Hi! I have a bunch of old VCDs. I found that Emby doesn't have native support for VCD .dat file. Is there a way to add that support?? Thank you very much! Lennart
Luke 36879
Hi, is that a video file?
lennartwong 0
Yes, it is a video file. In VCD, the video file has a .dat extension.
ebr 14857
What happens if you rename it with an .mpg extension?
lennartwong 0
That worked! Thank you very much!!! Some of my VCD uses the two stereo channels for different languages, like left is one language and right is another one. As far as I can find, there is not settings in Emby that can play just 1 channel as mono output. Is that correct??
rbjtech 4170
Highly unlikely as that is an extreme case in saving bitrate ! ffmpeg can remux into discreet streams as you can map audio left and right channels - if you're technically minded and good with command line options, then have a play to separate them into 2 x mono streams.
