Emby Theater Low Volume

I noticed that the Emby theater app for the Xbox One has very low volume, causing me to have to raise my TV's volume to as high as it can go just so I dont have to struggle to hear it. I have checked other video apps and they are all audible at level ~50 on my TV. Some of my Movies audio is low so even at 100, it can still be hard to hear.

No, I'm running v265 and it's shaking the walls with my TV set at only 20.

A lot of times when this comes up the apps volume is set really low

While playing movie, music, etc

Click the Xbox button

Scroll down and click on Emby Theater (probably the top one)

You should be able to adjust the app volume

My volume is at 100%. This was my first step in troubleshooting.

Is it transcoding?  Do you have any logs?  Can you give us a screen shot of the media info?

99% of the time when I see this you're sending a 5.1 signal to a stereo speaker set and it's not downmixing.  You're missing the center channel that has most of the dialog and having to turn it way up to hear the people talking in the front left/right channels.

I think what @@Deathsquirrel said is correct. The parts that were quiet was dialog, and the TV was definitely stereo playing a 5.1 channel audio. How can I force Emby to downmix to stereo?

We don't currently have an option for that. That will result in a lot of transcoding, but yes it's possible to add it.

It should be, that xbox isn't at my house so I don't have much time to test it but if I get a chance I'll try it out

Same here.

Strange. This does not happen with netflix or prime or any other app

.Also, tried with an MP3 stereo audio movie with same results. Very low volume.

And there is no "volume setting" available on emby app on xbox menu.

I am getting very low volume when playing any movie on the Xbox one app.

I have tried setting up the Xbox one mixer and also playing simple mono audio videos with the same result.

There is no volume slider anywhere to be seen.

The only Time I get  a normal volume is a fraction of a second (0.05 secs) after fast forwarding or rewinding.

I have tried transcoding to lower quality and still have the same result.

This only happens with the emby app on the Xbox.

Help!

Hi did you see frostbyte's post higher up in the thread?

I read that post and all the other ones regarding this problem. Did everything!

The thing is that in the new Xbox update there is no volume control for Emby when playing movies.
Tried all options available on "Chat volume" wich is the only setting available now on config. But it does not affect anything.

I have this problem with every movie, even if it is mp3 MONO audio!
Also, one strange thing is that there is a microsecond of good audio level when fast forward or rewinding.

Yes. Did everything he says but the latest Xbox One does not show any volume slider under Emby when playing.
Tried mono MP3 sound movies with same result.
Tried transcoding, and playing around with all sound options on Xbox but they affect only chat volume.
