Video repeats play-pause loop in every few second for larger-size files.

I have tried to search my problem in the community and still dont know how to solive it.

 

I have Emby installed in Synology DS418j. When I try to play some video files (>2GB) with Emby page on web-browser (eg. Firefox or Chrome) or Emby app in Android smartphone, the video is playing only for a few second, then stop/pause for a few seconds, then resume playing for another few seconds (loop). I try to select lowest quality at 144p, but the problem still persist. Contrary, if I use media player like mpv or vlc open the same file directly via windows explorer. the video will be playing fine (no stutter, no lacking).

 

I have attached my server logs and screenshot.

 

If anyone know how to solve this, please help. thank you very much.

@@asaren I don't think this NAS model is powerful enough for this type of transcoding. As a result, you'll want to limit your playback to Emby apps that can direct play these files without transcoding. Have you checked out our Emby Theater app?
