Luke 36884
@@FrostByte do you recall the other recent thread that had the same question? You'll have to be able to SSH in order to get to that folder.
FrostByte 5024
It was a PM from @Abobader "So I went a head and deleted the data for users at /config/users and for x, y, and z. then enable back wizard and create x and then all work fine." Robert1953 0
Hi Thank you for the replies which I followed. I followed the instructions and managed to find the appropriate file with the pin no. However it states cut and paste the url above to access the site and use the pin to reset the password. This does not work at all. I cannot use the URL and it fails every time I have tried to use it. So basically a waste of time and effort - should emby not provide a simpler method to change a password!!!! I then tried to remove the emby server from my NAS and install a clean version and start again, this is not straightforward. So I logged onto my sinology using SSH and Putty but - I was able to login as admin and root. (Same password apparently) but when I tried to use WinSCP I could not login as root to remove the software. Does anyone have any ideas please? I would be grateful. If the password system in place had worked I would not have this problem Thanks
FrostByte 5024
If you want del, edit, etc with WinSCP following these steps. It's pretty easy, but you will have to run the task every time there is a DSM update though. https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=116102&start=195#p448421 Edited September 17, 2019 by FrostByte
