My emby app is not working on my roku ultra. Both the regular and the beta show the splash screen then closes out to the home screen. The other rokus and apps in the house seem to work fine.

You can fix it.

1) Uninstall all Emby apps from your Roku.

2) Reboot/Restart the Roku - do not skip this step.

3) Install back all the Emby apps you had before on that Roku.

The problem is the registry may/can become corrupt and this exact behavior happens. It can happen with any Roku app.

Please let us know if this doesn't solve the problem.

Just joined hoping for a simple set of instructions on addressing the issue before the real fix? I didn't read all 5 pages preceding... sorry! :(

I've uninstalled Emby/reinstalled/restarted/reset to factory/checked for updates, then rinsed and repeated. Emby still dies.

2 identical Ultras here, one did not update (9.4.1, build 4237-C2), but mine did last night (10.0.0 build 4165-C2 ), and Emby dies as described here.

Roku support have no clue about the issue!! I spent ~ an hour in chat trying to describe the problem to them this evening, and why it seemed obvious that it was a Roku change which precipitated the issue. No joy.

If anyone here has an in with Roku support, please publicize this with them. I emailed them after my chat when I had found this conversation, but I don't know if that will have any effect :)
