Emby neu einrichten (Backup) / Scanvorgang Bibliotheken ?

Ich wollte nur nochmal zur Sicherheit nachfragen, wenn ich Emby entferne und danach erneut einrichte:

- meine Filme in den Bibliotheken werden danach genauso wieder erkannt, mit Titeln und Thumbnails?

(Die nfo Dateien liegen in den jeweiliegen Ordnern).

 

- sind in den Nfo Dateien auch Daten zu Gruppierungen und Sammlungen (Filmreihen) enthalten? Oder müssen diese nach einer Emby Neuinstallation erneut wieder eingerichtet werden?

 

Was mich außerdem noch interessiert:

- angenommen, ich benenne meine Quelle/den Hauptordner auf der Festplatte um (darin befinden sich die Unterordner mit den Filmen), kann man das Emby mitteilen? Bzw. kann man über Emby selbst den Ordner auf der Festplatte umbenennen?

Bisher war es dann so, Emby denkt der Ordner ist weg (logisch) und ich muß die Bibliothek wieder neu einpflegen. Dadurch scannt er alles wieder erneut, was ja eigentlich unnötig ist, es ist ja alles noch genauso wie vorher da, nur halt eben unter einem anderen Ordnernamen.

 

- es macht den Anschein als ob Emby nur Dateinamen scannt und die Titel daraufhin erkennt; kann das sein oder scannt Emby auch Ordnernamen?

Die Trefferquote der erkannten Titel ist zwar relativ gut, mich wundert es manchmal trotzdem, dass er manches nicht erkennt, obwohl der Ordnername recht eindeutig ist.

If you saved the NFO files to your libraries then Emby WILL be able to use them again for identification of those shows/movies.

 

You can rename or move the main folders such as d:\movies to d:\media\movies outside or Emby.  Once you have renamed/moved the files you need to edit your library(s) to make sure they point to the new location then do a full scan so Emby will learn the media's new location.

 

Emby uses both the folder name and file name in different situations.  It's best to put a movie in it's own folder with the same name as the movies and add the year such as:

 

D:\Movies\Top Gun (1986)

D:\Movies\Top Gun (1986)\Top Gun (1986).mp4

D:\Movies\Top Gun (1986)\Top Gun (1986).srt

 

Groupings and collections are different and stored in a directory BUT if you are going to rename your folders then these will be of little use to you as all the collections will point to the wrong place.

 

If you use the AUTO BOX SET plugin then after it runs (after you have done a full scan) this will rebuild your box sets automatically for you which is the way to go!
