WWE SmackDown off by two seasons

Howdy folks!

 

I have Emby set to record WWE  programming (Monday Night RAW and SmackDown) from my setup.  I'm getting Guide Data from Emby Guide Data.  Current episodes of WWE SmackDown are listed as "S19Exx" instead of "S21Exx".  This is causing the date aired and episode teaser text to be overwritten by thetvdb (and thus making it a little more difficult for me to watch backlogged episodes in order with WWE Monday Night RAW, which is getting the correct season number).

 

The next example would be Tuesday, September 10 at 8pm Eastern on USA Network (or, if this date passes, any Tuesday, 8pm Eastern, USA).  The episode number is labeled "S19:E37".  The upcoming episode text of "Countdown to Clash of Champions, featuring Randy Orton versus champion Kofi Kingston. Plus, Charlotte Flair and champion Bayley" appears correct (I know Kofi Kingston and Bayley weren't champions back in 2017).  The problem will come after the refresh against the metadata scrapers, it will get the TVDB entry from September 11, 2017 / S19E37 (https://www.thetvdb.com/series/wwe-smackdown/episodes/7337651)

 

Is there a way to correct the episode number?  My guess is Emby Guide Data's source has it listed as "Season 2019 Episode xx" and it's being trimmed down to S19, instead of the correct season of 21 (SmackDown started in 1999).  My initial thought is to write a script that runs every Tuesday at 10:01pm to rename S19 to S21, but that feels like a bandaid to me instead of a real fix.  If it didn't reset the teaser information from the metadata scrapers, that would probably work just as well (I don't pay attention to the season number, just air date).

I think the root of the problem is the metadata you're getting from GN.  If you pull up the Guide Data for Tuesday Evening 8pm on USA, it's displaying it's Season 19, when, in fact, it should be Season 21 right now.

That's everything I found in the log associated with the recording.  I don't know how to hunt down in the log where the metadata refresh is happening that changes everything from GN's metadata to the metadata from thetvdb.  The line in red may be the cuplrit -- and, that appears to be the blame on GN's incorrect season number.
