MCRMatt 0
Hi @@vdatanet, @@cayars, I have been trying to set up the Emby server on my shield for the last week but having trouble connecting to the dashboard on my MacBook Pro to set up properly. I managed to access through the shield web browser but very clunky, but I can't access on my Mac via the Emby server http address. I think I am going slightly mad, as I don't think this should be that hard to do. I have a lot of posts on the forum but can get past the start. Appreciate any help getting this up and running Thanks

Carlo 4330
@@MCRMatt Did you get this figured our or are you still stuck on this? Can you ping the server from your MacBook? Have a PC anywhere to try on that as well? Carlo
Carlo 4330
Here is what I discovered and think could very well be your issue. When you start Emby Server on the Shield it shows you an address to connect to such as http://192.168.49.1:8096. This is the address it shows on my internal network, HOWEVER my network is not 49 but 100. In Windows networking my Shield TV shows up so I right clicked it and found my Shield TV address is 192.168.100.27. I also could have looked in my router or just looked up the address on the Shield TV itself. Now knowing the correct internal IP address I was able to connect from my PC using http://192.168.100.27:8096 Let me know if this works for you, Carlo
MCRMatt 0
Hi Carlo, thanks for getting back. Yes that was it, seems simple now I know but once I checked the IP on the nvidia shield it was different. I used this and not the one suggested and works perfectly. Thanks for the help.
