Best Answer rbjtech , 23 September 2019 - 04:23 PM

Please try 4.3.0.9. Thanks.

This appears to now be fixed - manually added subtitles were picked up in a normal library scan - thanks !

That doesn't work when you update the quality of video file which has the same name, hence the reason we need the "Scan for new and updated files" back.

Running a library scan is overkill.

..nor does a full scan actually pick up a manually added .srt file as I found out yesterday.  Forcing a metadata refresh on that item was the only way to pickup the extra (forced) .srt file.

@Happy2Play are you able to reproduce?

In reference to manually adding and removing subtitles (srt) yes.  Scanning the library or Scanning all libraries does not appear to see this change.  Adding/removing extras or images are seen.

Only tested srt subtitles.

This is annoying and needs fixing, I convert my subtitles from .srt to .ass and atm I have to rename the files after I've added a new file (.ass) to have Emby remove the item from library and run a new scan to add it again.

Another bug in 0.8 beta. Movie is scanned, with web app i go to edit subs, search on vip opensubtitles, download them, nothing shows up. You need to refresh metadata again and then subs (that are already downloaded) shows up.
