I have found my self in a number of situation where I have had to reboot my Windows 8.1 computer to get Emby server working again. Many times i go to restart the server and find myself watching the spinnner forever and have had to reboot. Or Emby quits working and and check the dashboard and find that it appeared to be waiting for a reboot because of a plugin had been updated and it was waiting for a restart. I have had to reboot too many times for a variety of circumstances..

The only thing I am missing is the log file. I will have to wait for it to happen again. I understand the importance of the log file, but I also feel you should be aware of problem (little surprised you are not) and to be on the lookout for it. Can you seriously tell me you have never seen a restart fail?

No I haven't experience your issue, but my systems are WHS2011 and Windows 10.

It happened again and I have included the log file. This log file should document the two issues I mentioned earlier.

1. While waiting to be restarted because of an update pending (in this case DLNA) a video will start playing and then stop for a long time. I waited this time and it did finally start. Then I tried another video and it did the same thing. I believe it has to do with the restart because of ta restart video play fine.

2. The restart fails. In this case I was on the server with task manager and watch emby's memory usage go up and up. When i last checked it was a 1,192.0 mb.

1.  Unless it is plugin specific I have had a plugin for Playback reporting requiring a restart for at least a month as the new version is not compatible with the beta server so I ensure I have restore the previous version before every restart if needed for other reasons.
