The simpliest way to protect the chanel between emby server and the client is to use a SSL reverse proxy server installed on the same machine where emby server is running.

On android nvidia shield nginx is available. Very simple to configure. In this way you could protect every kind of server on you LAN.  :)

I'll try using Stunnel android version available, emby server & stunnel on the same shield, it should be easier.   https://www.stunnel.org/

If'll be lucky, will share how i did.

Why don't you let Emby manage encrypted communication directly?
I generated a certificate in zerossl.com, converted it to PKCS#12 in 10 minutes and it's done. See the picture. It works like a charm..
I will try to use STUNNEL as a SSL proxy in the next few days installing it on the same emby server machine (nvidia shield)
Why to complicate your life?
