Hi Emby devs. I'm not sure if you guys would give out this information out, but I'm curious, just how many premiere members are there? If not, I understand.

I do not know if Emby considers it proprietary info but I am pretty sure it is a number somewhere between 1 and 10,000,000,000,000. Of course I could be wrong and Emby could actually be the secret company that runs the world. You know them, they etc.

There actually was a movie staring James Coburn made about that company way back when it was "The Phone Company." There was an attempt to suppress that movie because it hit too close to the truth but that failed and the actual company went underground. Now, maybe, that company is resurfacing and Emby is one of its faces. Through Emby they are gaining access into many personal networks and the homes of many people. Their operatives are everywhere. There are two classes of "Premier" users, one is the one everyone sees and the others are agents of the shadow company of which Emby is just one finger of one hand reaching out again to control the minds and lives of the masses.

Of course I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Emby is conspiring with my dog to control the world.

Hi. This isn't something we share publicly but can I ask why you are wanting to know?  Perhaps there is a different question we can answer.

Thanks

There's nearly half a million members of this forum. If even 1% where Premier that would push 5,000. Does that help?

Apparently 200 people have joined the forum so far today, which isn't bad, and also (mildly) interesting.

I do wonder how many of the "new" users are users and/or bots attempting to post spam of some form. This forum seems quite good at rejecting spam and bots but I wonder how far they get before they are stopped.

I also find it hard to believe that Emby users are growing even close to that fast.

It is also possible that the stats are being misreported somehow.

I guess if they're all genuine users that'd be an extra 73000 per year, which might be a bit much, but you should...

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the surge is due to recent changes in Plex's direction.

There are a lot of people at least "checking out" Emby.

Just remember that to use emby connect, each user needs a forum login essentially.  So, 200 people joining today doesn't mean individual signups or users, it could just mean 200 emby connect logins, which has little, if anything, to do with revenue or server installs.
