28 shows I have seems to be unavailable for this error.  There are no covers on any of them.  Like meta data is no good.

They won't play direct nor off the wifi'd TCL/Roku  TV.

But there are 16 or so that play with no issue.

But everything plays with VLC and other methods with no issue.

Hi, the covers and playback are two separate issues. Are you sure this is the server log from when you tried to play? I don't see any playback attempts here. Thanks !

hmm, now Emby won't launch at all.  even with restart.

Restarted the Mac.

Here's 2 more logs.

Couple things played.  One no sound.

The 3rd selection gets the error as before

What happened with that archer episode? Was that the no sound example? Can you try Chrome and compare?

archer was good.  chernobyl had no sound.  I guess, but I'm reluctant to use Chrome generally.

Just for comparison purposes. Not asking you to switch full time. Can i see the Chernobyl log? thanks.

Hi Luke,

Emby wouldn't launch.

I logged out and back in, on the Mac, not restarted.

Emby launched.

Now for the funny stuff.  I didn't check everything, but everything I checked in Chrome, came up with the correct "front cover" image and played, picture, sound, sync.

I closed Chrome and just for s&g's I launched Ffx.

Everything seems right there too.  "Front covers" as well.

Odd, no?

I'm attaching the log as well.

Perhaps the cover just hadn't been downloaded yet earlier. There are also simultaneous problems going on with both Tvdb and MovieDb and that may affect the server's ability to get images:

any chance you can use IMDB for images?  You have the ID already.

so what do you think caused the weirdness with FFx the st time and Chromes' fix of FFx?

You're talking about covers, or playback?

well, both.  It seems after your suggestion to use Chrome, which worked (covers and playback) from the start, Firefox began working.

Where Firefox was missing covers as well as the inability to play some things, it was fine now.

I suppose the covers is not that odd and the server has to find stuff on other servers.

But the playback issue and it's resolution, was weird.  No?

Playback is odd, yes. Covers are probably due to the provider problems I mentioned earlier.
