Setup Question - My Media

Hello,

I am a new Emby user and have just about everything setup as I would like.  I am using Emby within my Roku Ultra and a windows based pc media server.

The one thing I'd like to know if can be changed is once inside Emby on Roku and I go to the "My Media" folder which I have setup to display my content, it displays options to display that content by "Shows", "Genres", "Episodes", "Folders" and to "Search".  Is there a way to set it to not show 1 or more of those folders? Or better yet when I choose my folder under "My Media" to have it just go directly to the content in one of those particular folders.

Thanks in advance.

Mike G.

Hi.  No we don't have options for that at this time.  We may in the future.

Thanks.

Ok, thank you for the quick reply.

We do have this on our feature/issue tracker.

Reference: Feature #249 (February 23rd, 2019) [Request] Jump into view tabs on library entry.

I have back linked that tracker request to this Post as well in the comment body. :)

Is this to say you are planning to do this at some point in the future?

It is making it known that it is lacking and other apps have this. It seems only logical that it must make it into the Roku app. We track all feature requests and issues. No exceptions. I am letting you know that you have bumped the previous request. That is a good thing. :)

The issue will wind up being the grid screen does not have that DISPLAY row with tabs on it. So getting to other tabs from within that grid screen will always require navigate back. And to get there to your landed on tab will have a small pass-through the normal screen with that DISPLAY row of tabs that you land on to get there. As it must be on the screen stack to be able to go back to it. So it may flash a bit before it passes you to where you want to be when you enter that screen. When we do get there.

So on the Roku it is a bit more of a challenge to follow exactly in step as other apps add features. This is why some areas seem different. We are working to improve that situation. Everything has priority and consistency is the goal.

Sounds good.  Great to know it is on the radar.
