I came across this in the Plex forums yesterday and wondered if anyone is using it to populate their Emby guide data.
So far I'm getting everything except artwork and am wondering what I'm missing.

I'm having to use NextPVR backend and the plugin due to my tuner not currently being supported natively.

Have used it in the past, like till a few months ago. Not any more since moving to v5 when I had a big clear out. Far as I remember it came up with artwork ok and if it didn't it made some with just the program name in the middle of a poster (in Plex orange).

I managed to get it going with help from a Plex forum participant.but had to uninstall NextPVR plugin then use M3U list (Mattheusman) then I pointed the xmltv to the NZ xmltv url and bingo, all guide data and artwork showed up. I noticed several programs had incorrect art.
I must take the plunge and try NextPVR V5.

Sounds like it was really easy then  :)

v5 works fine for me for playing stuff. I really should get round to testing recording more though. Not sure how it is with artwork, I invariably seem to test it at weird times when its mostly showing obscure NZ stuff or sports for which there isn't much art anyway. Oh well.

Update:

I've been playing round (a lot) trying different scenarios out.

At the moment I've settled on using NextPVR using xmltv from - https://nzxmltv.gith...tv/guide-v2.xml

I then set NPVR to enable artwork from the internet - just selecting The TVDB

In Emby I did nothing except using the plugin of course.

The result is now the best looking guide I've ever had.

There were a few programs that had landscape art but after doing a google for images 680 X 1000 I managed to fix most of them.

I didn't mind the generic posters for the programs that will probably never get dedicated art.

I did spend half a day trying to get V5 of NextPVR going but without success. Is the best way to do it by deleting V4 first? I tried to follow Subs instructions for testing with V4also installed but probanly messed up somewhere.

Personally I was going to try running both at the same time but ended up just saying bugger it, removed v4 and installed v5.

I presume you installed the v5 version of the Emby NextPVR plugin ?
