draddy 3
Hello @@ginjaninja, yes, not the fine kind, first post and immediately moan .. sorry for that. I raised emby a week ago, and was really excited, my movies and series were nicely complemented all chic, involved in Kodi - very nice. But then my music came ... Arranged is the main music in the folder Albums dadrunter are respectively folders of the artists and then the folders of the albums, individual songs I just have in a folder "> ARTIST <Mix" (where> ARTIST <is just replaced by each) ALL mp3 are clean tagged with artist, albumrtist songname, album name, tracknumber, albumcover deposited in each file. mp3 naming: "Artist - TrackNr - Song.mp3" What does emby do? Some of the artists are ripped, that is, I have for example in the view several entries to the same Albumartist (this is ALWAYS the same, ie in stories where an artist with another artist works together, I have deposited this ONLY in the artist tag but not in the album artist so that I should have a clean listing when sorting by album artist). Spellings are Ident (I edited everything with mp3Tag, so I loaded the entire Fanta4 folder and set the album artist on all mp3s.) Just Emby does not - here is often the manual adjustment of the albumartist Musicbrainz ID of need, in 98% of then it works out. For some, pseudos are simply formed - that is, an entry that is empty, or at best "appears on" entries - no chance of getting rid of them. after deleting the library.db and rebuild it were less pseudos, but some were still formed again (when reconstructing artists wos previously had no problems ...) good is now only one - I thought I can live with ... Today I look over the webapp because I want to hear a certain album, and I think "there's a lot missing" ... only 12 albums are displayed ... weird, looking for other artists I have a lot of, fact - 12 albums ... metadata checked - should fit - only 12 are displayed under the Albuminterpret sorting ... among albums I find them, so they are there, but why in God's name are not they always and everywhere displayed? Call me petty, but when I look at interpret xyz, I want to see EVERYTHING from xyz, not just what some tool means to show me. was it really a mistake synonymous with music to put the * .nfo in the directory? I had thought, so bissl additional info would be very pretty, when was the band founded this the tralala - just the info the musicbrainz so with - but - honestly - with no interpreter I have found such infos until now, although on musicbrainz a text would be available. I'm really zwiegespalten, for movies and series, especially with the Autobox set plugin really great thing, has worked on a very few films really great, and I put this on my very negligent preparation of my little film and series folders. In my music, however, I usually give myself but really hard to prepare this well, and had no problems so far, whether in the car, on the phone, normal in Kodi involved or wherever, but here I am disappointed emby grade unfortunately real. vll. Am I synonymous wrong approached? kA tell me. vll we can do it together, that the project does not die for me lg Draddy

CChris 58
CChris 58
Hi. Ja, und kann ich auch reproduzieren Allerdings: Wenn du in der Ansicht auf "Album >" klickst, dann bekommst du die komplette Liste der Alben des interpreten @Luke:If you have more than 12 albums for an artist, only the first 12 are shown in the section "album artist".e.g. the TO has 33 albums for the band "Die Fantastischen Vier" in his library. When he opens the View for that artist, only 12 of them are shown. I did the same for a sampler collection which I've recently added.I have 13 samplers imported (based on search result in emby) - but only 12 of them are visible, when I use the Album Artist view. I think, this is related, since the page does use a similar view than the "recently added" view. You need to click on "Albums >" to get ALL albums listed. I think, this is not very intuitive.I would also have expected to get the complete list of albums directly... there's one step too much, in my opinion. draddy 3

CChris 58
@Luke:I was having a look into the Library.db of draddy, trying to understand, why the album-artist "the Walkabout" is showing twice in his case.As you can see in his screenshots, it is once showing "album>" with a list of all albums of this artist, and once it is showing "appears on" with a list of all albums. The Album Artist is correctly linked with the MusicBrainz-Artist ID.... select * from MediaItems where name like '%walkab%'; Id | guid | type | ParentId | Path | Name | Genres | SortName | ForcedSortName | RunTimeTicks | DateCreated | DateModified | ProviderIds | Images | UserDataKeyId ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1889 | {936AFEBD-F89B-F104-2F8E-2E0B8F5BFAFF} | 3 | 10 | /mnt/share1/Music/Alben/The Walkabouts | The Walkabouts | | walkabouts | | 1564843382 | -62135596800 | | | %MetadataPath%/library/93/936afebdf89bf1042f8e2e0b8f5bfaff/poster.jpg*637006046140578217*Primary*0*0*null | 1887 14205 | {6F725AE2-CBB7-42EF-BB93-8E8258469B9F} | 13 | | | The Walkabouts | folkrock|Other|Pop|Rock|Unbekannt | the walkabouts | The Walkabouts | 310877730000 | 1564869600 | 1564872734 | MusicBrainzArtist=f50a96b5-a890-4442-ae30-6ce307dd7e20 | %MetadataPath%/library/6f/6f725ae2cbb742efbb938e8258469b9f/folder.jpg*637004735826644172*Primary*0*0*null|%MetadataPath%/library/6f/6f725ae2cbb742efbb938e8258469b9f/backdrop.jpg*637005004932164965*Backdrop*0*0*null | 16514 14213 | {0C8E69F2-B9DE-42BB-BF33-E90AFA212212} | 13 | | | The Walkabouts | Rock|Pop|Other|folkrock|Unbekannt | the walkabouts | The Walkabouts | 341392210000 | 1564869600 | 1564872761 | MusicBrainzArtist=f50a96b5-a890-4442-ae30-6ce307dd7e20 | %MetadataPath%/library/0c/0c8e69f2b9de42bbbf33e90afa212212/folder.jpg*637006047865800867*Primary*0*0*null|%MetadataPath%/library/0c/0c8e69f2b9de42bbbf33e90afa212212/backdrop.jpg*637006048772631732*Backdrop*0*0*null | 16514 The Output of this select is showing two entries - ID 14205 and ID 14213 - with a small difference in the Genre Listing.I think, that this could cause the duplicate, but I'm not quite sure.

So although Picard can be a bit fiddly to learn if all you want to due is embed mbz id tags it should just be a case of. 1. Open album files in Picard 2. Identify the album/files against Musicbrainz 3. Save files.
