Music Videos - Artist info showing as genre

Hi @@Angelblue05, thanks for the wonderful job you have doing keeping the addon up to date. Since upgrading to Server 4.2.0.40, I have noticed some unexpected behavior for music videos.

  • Artist information is showing as genre on the info screen for playing music videos. There is nothing showing for artist.
  • New music videos are not being tagged with the library to which they belong. However,  those in the already synced to Kodi plays fine except artist info appears as genre.

E4K version 4.10.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

LongMan

This will be resolved in Emby Server 4.2.1, although if you reinstall 4.2.0.40 from the website on top of your existing installation, it will also be resolved there.

Not a re-install, just install again on top of your existing version.

@@Luke. That what I understood. Wrong term, should have said install in place.

Can confirm that it fixed the artist info problem.

Thanks

For music videos it repeat genres for the video being played. I checked and it does not do that for movies or tv shows. So Pop/Rock becomes Rock/Pop/Rock/Pop.  The  genre that would normally appear second, is first. A repeat with a shift I guess.

Nevrmind. A restart seems to have gotten rid of the repeat. The shift is still there but no repeat so it is fine.

Thanks for your help.
