Hi there,

I tested with the last server release 4.3.0.30 and app 1.7.60 and it's becoming worse with the test file. The subtitles are gone now completly. I sent a report and the logged in user was Michael.

This time I set the subtitles to keep the formate and accept the transcoding for a test only and the subs were there. Unfortunately is my NAS not powerful enough to keep this setting.

I tried the same file with emby on my iPad and there was all perfect, furthermore i  could keep the ass subs styled. Seems that the LibMpv Video Player is more capable than the exoplayer.

How does the web app compare?

How does the web app compare?

Hi Luke,

the web app keeps the subtitle due to direct play. Unfortunately I could detect some kind of stuttering which I don't have when I deselect the subtitles. I think that this is a little bit strange, because both stream were in direct play.

Due to the lag of a ffmpeg log I added a server log only.

Thx

If you lower the quality setting so that the web app transcodes, how does that compare?

Hi Luke,

same result. But I guess that I could get a little bit more infos to you. It seams that the stuttering primary appears during the phase with fast pace action and/or styled ass subs.

Due to the forced transcode I was able to fetch ffmpeg logs, so i add them and the server log. Hope it will help you to solve the issue.

Same result meaning stuttering, or that subtitles were lost?

I tried again today to verify the my yesterday results. The styled ass are stuttering during transcode, too. The not styled one was there but incredible out of time.

On the android app?

Yes, there is I still have the issue with vanishing subtitles as soon as I fast forward or backward. Sometimes the Subtitles are still there but they going out of time. Very curious is also that the subtitles during the styled phase, I don't have styled on to avoid transcoding, are total nonsense.

On the web app?

No, the subs are always there. While transcoding and fast forwarding they're going out of sync.

During direct play i get stuttering in the phase with styled subs.
