Apple TV app no longer shows *anything* under the main Movies and TV Shows sections

Recently my Apple TV app stopped showing *anything* under the main Movies and TV sections. My library is fine since the content shows up fine via the iOS app on iPad and iPhone and via the WebUI. The content also shows up just fine under other areas within Movies and TV such as Suggestions, Genres and Episodes. So this seems to be a bug I the Apple TV app.

Can we get a fix for this ASAP please.

I’m sorry this is happening and hopefully we can figure it out. Can you provide server logs around the time when navigating to those screens? When did this start happening? Would it be possible to grant me access to your server?

Try to update your Emby Server first to the latest version and see if your problem still exists and report back here.

Well, I was running the terminal release of the 3.x server. Seems like the most recent versions of the Apple TV apps no longer work properly with the final 3.x servers release.

 

I have updated to Emby Server 4.2 (from 3.x) and now the Apple TV app works as expected. Unfortunately, the upgrade seems to have lost *all* of my Collections, which is a bit of a disaster to be honest. They no longer show up in the Web UI or any of the Apps. That's a pretty severe bug...

Please open a new topic in server section, describing your update from 3.x to 4.2 and losing your collections with that update.

 

Maybe Luke can explain in that topic why it went wrong, but skipping the 4.0/4.1 release versions could be a factor while it shouldn’t be.

To add to that, have you checked User acces for collections ?
