PowderedToast 0
[Emby Theatre 3.0.8] So I get audio and the menus, but no video. From what I have read on other posts, the app relies on the use of the Aero theme components. I'm running this on Windows Server 2016 and cannot see an option to enable the aero themes. Anyone with a suggestion on how to get around this. I've tried calling an external player via the app, but I get strange results. cheers.
Luke 37060
Hi there, what video settings have you configured in the app? Is windows fully up to date, along with your video drivers?
PowderedToast 0
Hello, windows and drivers are up to date. The graphics card is an old cheap one (AMD R5 200) so the latest driver release was 2016 from what I can see. I've tried all the app settings, acceleration on and off etc. What I'll do this weekend is swap out the graphics card for another to see if this solves the issue and update with the results. The web app isn't an option btw. That has audio popping issues, but that's another post I'll make later.

PowderedToast 0
Ok. So I decided to install the Theatre app on a windows 10 machine with a more recent graphics card. You know, to get a baseline of how it should be working with the right settings. For some reason it gives the exact opposite problem. You play a video, it appears, but no menu overlay so there is no way to exit or skip forward or backwards. Clicking on the icon in the taskbar and pressing ESC or killing the app seems to be the only choice. I started the app with the default settings and then went through all the other options to no avail. I'll still try the graphics card in the other machine, but to be honest I don't think it will make a difference. There has to be a trick I haven't worked out yet. Guest asrequested
Unfortunately, there is a ghost in the machine with the present release. It's a known issue and is being looked at. In the mean tie, you can try the last version (3.0.6). Just download it, unzip to its own folder and run it from there. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-theater-windows/releases/tag/3.0.
