Pilothobs 0
Hello everyone I am a long time Plex user for my backend and Kodi for the front. I have messed around with emby but never got very far. I am looking at replacing my server and using emby. I like the emby thearter running on my Pi boxes. The problem I am having is that I cant get my Live TV to work in emby. I have put in the m3u file with the _plus&output=ts there and not there. I have tried/checked: Live TV service - Okay Firewall - Set Portforward - Set Just killing me that I might have missed something simple Thanks in advance Hobs logs.txt

Luke 37057
What version of next pvr?
emveepee 112
That is definitely v4 of NextPVR, it is responding to the old JSON. Did you run the scheduled task import the guide data? Martin
Luke 37057
According to the server log, next pvr is refusing connection attempts from emby server, so you probably need to configure next pvr to allow that.
Pilothobs 0
WOW Thanks for the quick replies. Do I switch to V5? Its running on a Windows 10 machine How do I configure nextpvr to allow connections to emby?
Pilothobs 0
I went to a networked computer and tried to access nextpvr. It loaded but wouldn't get the guide or play channels. I then went back to the windows machine and saw this I think I should unintall V4 and install V5 Thoughts?
Luke 37057
The next pvr plugin in the catalog is for v4. I'm not sure it will function with v5 at this time.

I see the connection is ok 2019-07-13 10:22:31.152 Info App: [NextPvr] Session initiated The requests that are failing are art requests which is why I suggest syncing the guide. Luke 37057
Ok, please try running the refresh guide scheduled task in emby server. thanks.
emveepee 112
Looking at the number of episode art requests from Emby, and from the screen shot you look to be using IPTV with a lot of channel I do not think that is a great combination with v4. I would consider upgrading to v5 and for the best metadata experience mapping as many channel to Schedules Direct guide data as possible. If your XMLTV guide data has poster URL's that might be something that sub can use to improve things to, not sure if he handles that. The IPTV provider has 15K+ channels and art for each.
Luke 37057
Emby supports m3u tuners directly. Are you sure you even need to be using next pvr? You can setup an m3u tuner directly in the live tv section of the server dashboard. thanks.

emveepee 112
I wrote the v5 update it is working fine just not submitted to the catalog yet. I am waiting for NextPVR release candidate. If you have 15k channels I wouldn't use Emby 4.1.1 the guide refresh would be too slow consider their beta. If you are happy with how Emby handles m3u IPTV I am not sure why NextPVR would be needed.
