Hey All,

I would appreciate some help on managing my rather large movie collection on Emby. Currently I have over 200 movies (some in collection form) in my "Movies" library. At this point it's getting a bit difficult to try to navigate with on my Shield and Fire. I've debated different ways to approach the situation, typically thinking about splitting the main library in smaller genre based ones.

I was wondering what others have done make the watcher experience a bit more manageable when navigating all the items in a library.

Also does anyone know of a way to change the default view of a library on the Shield? I've considering having it default to the Genres page.

Well as it stands currently I happen to just have a single large library of 200+ movies/collections.

With Android TV/Fire TV it doesn't have the same filtering on the PC or mobile so I was wondering what others are doing to browse their large libraries.

Hi.  What, exactly, are you looking for?

There is already a genre view in your movie library and filters for unwatched and favorite plus many sorting options.  Also there are suggestions based on what you last watched and the item you are currently viewing.

Can you give us some examples of other ways you  are looking to browse?

Thanks.

Well, I'd like to see if there's a way to set the default view of a library to the genres tab on the Shield and/or Fire TV.

I understand I can tab over to it, but I'd like to have the same ability for it to go directly to Genres like on the PC.

Have you arrowed over to the "Settings" tab in that library in that app?
