RanmaCanada 335
Some of my family are having serious issues with their Apple 4 TV's where they are unable to watch movies from my server because the Apple TV becomes a buffering crap fest to the point that movies are completely unwatchable. The movies will work fine for a little bit, then suddenly they need to constantly pause the movie for any type of playback to happen. These movies are direct playing to their Apple TV, and their internet, and my internet are more than fast enough to handle the measly 4mbit that they are trying to play. Does anyone else have this issue, and have they been able to fix it? I do not have this problem with any of my family members that use Android, it's only on the Apple POS eco-system where there are serious buffering issues. I have gigabit fibre, so do they, so no, it's not a bandwidth issue. If they use plex, it's not an issue at all. If they use Emby for LG WebOS it is also not an issue, other than they hate to use the LG remote as everything is tied to a Harmony remote which does not work properly with the internal apps on the TV. They were watching Shazam. I've included the server log. embyserver.7z
Luke 37009
I would suggest asking them to lower the in app quality setting to reduce the amount of data being transferred. Please have them try something like 1 Mbps, and then they can work there way up from there. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
