Hi there,

with the newest beta .20 i got the problem that it seems that my DS isn't longer capable to do a direct stream on the fly while watching live TV. If I understood it right, than direct stream is nothing more than a simple container switch, this process shouldn't need  a lot of CPU power, should it.

I  attached my Logs. Hope it helps you if it's a issue or normal behaviour.

Hi there, to reduce the cpu usage consumed by emby server, consider removing these plugins:

2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading CoverArt, Version=4.1.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/CoverArt.dll
2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading statistics, Version=2.0.10.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/Statistics.dll
2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading Emby.Kodi.SyncQueue, Version=2.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/Emby.Kodi.SyncQueue.dll
2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading MediaBrowser.Plugins.SmtpNotifications, Version=3.1.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/MediaBrowser.Plugins.SmtpNotifications.dll
2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading PeopleBackup, Version=1.3.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/PeopleBackup.dll
2019-06-28 06:31:06.990 Info App: Loading playback_reporting, Version=1.5.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/plugins/playback_reporting.dll

Please try this and see if it makes a difference. thanks.

Hi Luke,

I uninstalled all of the mentioned Plugins unless mediabrowser, because I couldn't find the plugin. Unfortunately it hadn't any effect.

I added a screenshot from my CPU Load and the log after the try with the uninstalled plugins. Meanwhile i reinstalled the plugins and take a look at my cpu usage. It's almost the same like the one with the installed plugins.

Thx

Am I reading that right, 6% cpu load?

Yes, correct, 6% CPU load. While streaming with the plugins the load is pending between 6 an 10%.

I never thought that my problem depends on the CPU load, you mentioned it with your recommendation to delete some plug in to reduce the CPU load.

My problem, live TV stream stuck and isn’t flawless, is still persistent.

If you lower the in-app quality setting to force a full transcode, does that make any difference?

Yeah, I lowered the quality to 460p and 720kps and it seems that it solves the problem. The stream was flawless and the CPU runs at 20%. To be sure that it isn't any problem with my network I tried a stream from a BluRay Rip with 33 Mps and it runs without any problem as direct play. So I think the problem isn't my network.

I attached the logs from the live TV Stream.

I don't quite have the answer for you but it just seems that when remuxing at the original bitrate that it's not able to go fast enough for whatever reason. If you look at the fps in the log, it's slower than the actual media fps, which means it's not remuxing fast enough to be playable.
