Issue with restoring backup

Hello,

I have recently tried to restore Emby from a backup which was created by the backup and restore app. I have downloaded the latest version of Emby server for Windows and tried to restore from the plugin. I have it working so the plugin can see the restore point I want and I can see it can read the correct settings.

When I click restore nothing happens at all. It just closes the point in which it says are you VERY sure? and I click okay or yes and nothing happens apart from closes that screen.

Anybody else had this issue and is there a fix?

Can you post the server log corresponding with this action.

It should restart the server at that point, other than that there isn't much that will actually happen other than things being restored.

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the reply. I have looked to see if Emby is restarting after I press restore and it isn't restarting. If I do a restart it doesn't restore any of the data.

Are you expecting it to restore your library - because it wont - it restores user settings etc - not your database?

Can you post a server log.  What browser are you using?  Have you tried a different browser?

Hi Luke. Yes I still can't restore a backup although I have just taken the shortcut from my old windows profile and I am using the original windows install now instead. Not ideal but it will do the job.
