easez88 13
Hello, I have noticed that I am missing a movie in my library. I can see the film in Metadata Editor and if I go into folder view I can find it's folder and the movie in it. However If I am in the library view the movie is missing. Any Ideas? Baenwort 96
Is it part of a collection?
Luke 36876
Can you please discuss an example? thanks.
Townsey 1
As an aside is it not possible to have the film counter back at the top of the list as it was 4 or 5 versions back. That was very useful to find missing films from the data base as you could marry it up with what was in the folder. For example you had 300 films showing in Emby but your folder count was 302 so you were two short in Emby. It did not say which ones were missing but at least you knew and could find with a little hunting the two not picked up by the database and do something about it. easez88 13
Is it part of a collection? It should be, but it is not being recognized. Can you please discuss an example? thanks. Sure. In this case Creed shows up in folder view But does not show up in Library view.
Luke 36876
What is the folder structure?
easez88 13
What is the folder structure? /mnt/media/creed/creed.mkv /mnt/media/creed2/creed2.mkv Not exact names, but that is the structure.
Luke 36876
How many emby libraries have you created, and using what folder paths?
easez88 13
I have two libraries one for movies and one for tv shows. Each movie has their own sub folder. Not sure how folder paths is different than folder structure, so I'm not really sure how to answer the second part
Luke 36876
what folders did you add to your movie library? What folders did you add to your tv library?
easez88 13
the movie folder has two folders in it. one for animated films and one for regular films. Same with the tv folder. Both movies in the example above are in the same library folder.
Luke 36876
What exact folder paths did you add in emby library setup?
easez88 13
I made a mistake before I added the freeness paths not the path as the emby jail sees it. In emby the paths are: Movie Library/mnt/Movies /mnt/Anime Movies TV Library/mnt/TV /mnt/Anime TV Edited July 6, 2019 by easez88
Luke 36876
If you start adding a new folder and use the directory picker to browser underneath /mnt/movies, does it show the contents there? or is it empty?
easez88 13
They show.
Luke 36876
As a test, try going into the live tv section and using the button to start the process of adding an m3u tuner. This has a file browser. Try using that file browser and see if the video files show up there. Thanks.
easez88 13
Both films are in the live TV file browser as well.

Luke 36876
Which one is the movie file? Those are just folders, right?
easez88 13
Yes those are the folders. Here is a screenshot of the actual file. Also, I checked in with one of my users and the films do show up in the library on an Apple TV. This prompted me to do some more checking and it looks like the issue is related to my user account. Other users can see all movies, example included, just fine. I'm not sure why though, since I don't use features such as tags or parental controls. Luke 36876
Then I would check the user access permissions and parental controls on your account, and then also check any filters you may have activated in the UI.
Luke 36876
Were you able to chase this down?
easez88 13
Not yet. I have no filtering, tags, or parental settings enabled. Even weirder, when I search for the film it shows up but it does not show in the list.
