Yes it was still running with disk access and high cpu , I do not know what it was doing as kodi had the full library in it.

Could you wait for the sync to finish rather than stopping the server?

Restarted emby

reset Kodi database

did at full sync

Low cpu for movies and TV  3 or 4 %

Music videos  climbed to 80% lots of disk access for 20 min

Disk access and cpu stay active for about 20 min after finished sync.

Disk access when down to little (normal) CPU stay at 80% after another 20 min

Please also try 4.2.0.32. If you'd like to perform this procedure here:

https://emby.media/c...-config-switch/

Then it will most likely improve your server's performance. Thanks !

Are you around to try a couple things? I notice five requests in your log that never send a response back:

2019-07-17 20:15:06.250 Info HttpServer: HTTP GET http://192.168.0.138:8096/emby/Users/ab67e7a77fa147baa82fd8d0cb6b325e/Items?IncludeItemTypes=Movie&Recursive=True&LocationTypes=FileSystem%2CRemote%2COffline&Fields=Path%2CGenres%2CSortName%2CStudios%2CWriter%2CTaglines%2CLocalTrailerCount%2CVideo3DFormat%2COfficialRating%2CCumulativeRunTimeTicks%2CItemCounts%2CPremiereDate%2CProductionYear%2CMetascore%2CAirTime%2CDateCreated%2CPeople%2COverview%2CCommunityRating%2CStartDate%2CCriticRating%2CCriticRatingSummary%2CEtag%2CShortOverview%2CProductionLocations%2CTags%2CProviderIds%2CParentId%2CRemoteTrailers%2CSpecialEpisodeNumbers%2CStatus%2CEndDate%2CMediaSources%2CVoteCount%2CRecursiveItemCount%2CPrimaryImageAspectRatio%2CDisplayOrder%2CPresentationUniqueKey&CollapseBoxSetItems=False&IsMissing=False&Limit=1&SortOrder=Ascending&ParentId=1c13a7ff8838cc0dc2c67be3891ca9c8&EnableTotalRecordCount=True&IsVirtualUnaired=False&SortBy=SortName. UserAgent: Emby-Kodi/4.1.3

So clearly these requests are getting stuck and this is probably the reason for the cpu uage. If you're around, i can try to have you put those urls into a browser and then we can modify the url until we narrow down where the problem is.

Ok first step is go into the Advanced section of your server dashboard, then on the Security tab, create a new api key.

Then take that api key, and add it to the end of this url, replacing the xxx with the api key value.

http://192.168.0.138:8096/emby/Users/ab67e7a77fa147baa82fd8d0cb6b325e/Items?IncludeItemTypes=Movie&Recursive=True&LocationTypes=FileSystem%2CRemote%2COffline&Fields=Path%2CGenres%2CSortName%2CStudios%2CWriter%2CTaglines%2CLocalTrailerCount%2CVideo3DFormat%2COfficialRating%2CCumulativeRunTimeTicks%2CItemCounts%2CPremiereDate%2CProductionYear%2CMetascore%2CAirTime%2CDateCreated%2CPeople%2COverview%2CCommunityRating%2CStartDate%2CCriticRating%2CCriticRatingSummary%2CEtag%2CShortOverview%2CProductionLocations%2CTags%2CProviderIds%2CParentId%2CRemoteTrailers%2CSpecialEpisodeNumbers%2CStatus%2CEndDate%2CMediaSources%2CVoteCount%2CRecursiveItemCount%2CPrimaryImageAspectRatio%2CDisplayOrder%2CPresentationUniqueKey&CollapseBoxSetItems=False&IsMissing=False&Limit=1&SortOrder=Ascending&ParentId=1c13a7ff8838cc0dc2c67be3891ca9c8&EnableTotalRecordCount=True&IsVirtualUnaired=False&SortBy=SortName&api_key=xxx

Then put that url in a browser. Are you able to create the high cpu usage just from that?

And does that url respond with json output, or does it not respond at all?

That's good, because that means this should be easy to narrow down now. So notice the Fields=xxx param, now we're going to chop that down until the problem doesn't happen anymore. Hang on, I'll give you some url's to test.

Try this:

http://192.168.0.138:8096/emby/Users/ab67e7a77fa147baa82fd8d0cb6b325e/Items?IncludeItemTypes=Movie&Recursive=True&LocationTypes=FileSystem%2CRemote%2COffline&Fields=Video3DFormat%2COfficialRating%2CCumulativeRunTimeTicks%2CItemCounts%2CPremiereDate%2CProductionYear%2CMetascore%2CAirTime%2CDateCreated%2CPeople%2COverview%2CCommunityRating%2CStartDate%2CCriticRating%2CCriticRatingSummary%2CEtag%2CShortOverview%2CProductionLocations%2CTags%2CProviderIds%2CParentId%2CRemoteTrailers%2CSpecialEpisodeNumbers%2CStatus%2CEndDate%2CMediaSources%2CVoteCount%2CRecursiveItemCount%2CPrimaryImageAspectRatio%2CDisplayOrder%2CPresentationUniqueKey&CollapseBoxSetItems=False&IsMissing=False&Limit=1&SortOrder=Ascending&ParentId=1c13a7ff8838cc0dc2c67be3891ca9c8&EnableTotalRecordCount=True&IsVirtualUnaired=False&SortBy=SortName&api_key=xxx

Again you need to substitute the api key, and restart the server to get cpu usage back down. Let me know if it happens. Thanks.
