Cruciald 1
Hi, Is anyone noticing an unusually high CPU usage of the Embyserver process in their Asustor NAS? I am noticing a minimum of 23% and as high as 45% with some of the betas. I am currently running Asustor's default 4.1.1.0. It doesn't seem to matter what version; it settles down at 22-25%. Seem a little off to me.

Cruciald 1
Hi, Just another note. I restarted the Emby server and the process is sleeping now. I forgot to mention that all the releases have an issue with a stuck (and unwelcome) library scan. I saw another user with their library scan stuck at 53%. In my case it is 19.3%. I don't understand why the scan is not on-demand rather than autonomous. I also saw a mention that switching between release and beta can cause this, which I am guilty of. Nonetheless my feeling that library scans should be on-demand or at least some intelligence (check for library file before scanning). I will monitor this for a few days and see if the Emby server process gets 'stuck on' again.

Cruciald 1
Hi, I have no issue acquiring the logs. I use the methods to paste them in, that works. I hit the 'post' button and nothing happens. There is no way to attach a text file?
Cruciald 1
Hi, Well the EmbyServer process is 'stuck on' again. The culprit, that d@mn library scan! It gets stuck a 19.3% and it's mucking up it's ability to playback a movie and is putting some additional stress on the NAS. You can't stop it; the only recourse is to uninstall and reinstall. Which only delays the inevitable. I believe Asustor is not helping after a firmware update its not allowing a sideload install of an apk. You can only install their versions of the apps. This is frustrating.

Luke 37005
I see you went back and forth between beta and stable. This is going to cause you problems, notice the LoaderException errors in your log: 2019-06-18 17:31:05.715 Error App: LoaderException: Could not load file or assembly 'MediaBrowser.Model, Version=4.2.0.10, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. Regarding your original issue, I don't see anything obvious here. This log only covers eight minutes. Are you saying you had high cpu usage during these eight minutes? Cruciald 1
Hi, Like I mentioned, my NAS is currently not letting me sideload any apks. I am forced to use their (stable) versions. As for the length of time you are seeing the high CPU usage, I believe that was after a clean reinstall of 4.1.1.0. The library scan is on permanently. Luke 37005
Uninstalling does not remove the program data folder, and there's nothing we can do about that. That's why you still have plugins from the beta version, which will need manual correction if you intend to use the features they provide.
Cruciald 1
Well it looks like I'm stuck. Now to wrangle with Asustor. Thanks for the info.
Luke 37005
If you did want to start fresh, you could uninstall and then delete this folder: /home/emby
