someperson 3
It looks like if someone leaves live TV running on a client for a long period of time (e.g. if the TV is turned off but Roku continues streaming), Emby eventually runs out of memory and crashes. The jail still shows up as running in the FreeNAS UI, but it is unreachable. When this happens, I have to manually restart the jail. How can this be fixed or worked around? Luke 36876
Our Roku app has a "still watching" feature that you can enable in app settings. This will require them to confirm every several hours that they are still active. On the server side we will improve this in the future to limit the amount of buffer we are holding and that will resolve this. Thanks.
someperson 3
Thank you. I will look for the option in the Roku app. It would still be nice to mitigate this server-side if possible though, at the very least to automatically get the server running again if it crashes for whatever reason. How can this be done?
Luke 36876
I'm not sure how you can automatically restart, but the other changes i mentioned are something we are looking into. Thanks.
