Jason'sEmby 29
When a remote user and local user are watching the same channel it causes the remote user to get pixelation and lock up momentarily. I'm watching local news on Channel 13 (direct play) on a Nvidia shield and the remote user(roku 5.5 bite rate transcode) was watching the same channel when I joined. Is there a setting I should change on my end to help alleviate the issue? I will attach logs in about 5 minutes. It looks like the Nvidia Shield tried to transcode for a moment until I backed out and disabled transcoding on my user profile. Not sure if that will fix the issue. Luke 37045
This generally means the bitrate is too high. I would ask them to lower the in-app quality setting. Have them start somewhere like 1 mbps and then they can work there way up from there.
