Whats so crazy is that only the two roku's had a problem.  I have several fire boxes that worked and when  i connected through the web browser everything worked.  What finally pointed out the issue was i added a 4 digit password to the account, then  i deleted the server from the roku then re added it with and after entering all the data to connect, both the original app and the beta app were able to connect.  When i went back to the web browser to change the password back to null, the server crashed.  I rebooted the pc and was able to remove the password on the account and now both roku units (official app and beta ) app can connect without password and they remember every thing.  Even the BNN now remembers the server address.  So i'm up and running.  Thanks for all your help!
