ebr 14910
Hi. Can you connect to it without the reverse proxy?
Luke 37060
And also, what type of SSL certificate are you using?
Wuast94 0
Didn't try it without reverse proxy but it work on different browsers and on ios app without any problems so I didn't think that this is the problem..and I use let's encrypt Zertificate. But only on my reverse proxy not on my emby it self
Luke 37060
The issue is likely the device not trusting the ssl certificate. That is usually the case with let's encrypt and apple devices. I am surprised to hear it's working on iOS.
Wuast94 0
My Ssl Zertifikates working everywhere without problems. My cloud run this too (different Zertifikat but Same let's encrypt) and no browser no device nothing had ever said that it's not good.

joydashy 3
What did you enter for url? The issue appears to be Cloudflare being in between, this URL works fine in the AppleTV: "ip_address:8096" So we're using that for now, not sure why Apple doesn't like CF. Senna 368
So we're using that for now, not sure why Apple doesn't like CF. Apple iOS or tvOS devices have no problems with Cloudflare SSL certificates or Cloudflare being used as reversed proxy for accessing your Emby Server remotely with domain name. Using both, on iphone/ipad/Apple TV 4k, without any problems. Maybe these guides could be of help: https://blog.awelswynol.co.uk/2017/06/emby-server-https-reverse-proxy https://blog.awelswynol.co.uk/2018/01/setting-up-cloudflare-with-emby Also on forum, there are some dedicated topics on this subject like for example: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/47508-how-to-nginx-reverse-proxy/ https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/48236-setting-up-emby-behind-a-reverse-proxy-nginx/&do=findComment&comment=457670

I am not having this issue with Apple IOS, only Apple TV. Can't really debug the issue right now as the Apple TV in question is not with me. acmby 1
Hi was there ever a resolution to this issue? I think I'm encountering something similar, Apple TV client is not able to connect to remote server behind Cloudflare proxy. Other apps are able to connect remotely (iPhone, Android, web app). acmby 1
Yes connecting to your test server worked on the Apple TV. So maybe there's some configuration on my end I can change to make it work?
