HTPCity_Planner 13
Anyone know of a good (free) reliable converter program that will convert .mkv files to something I could burn to a DVD? I need something that is compatible with playing on a DVD player. Thanks!
AdrianW 1052
I think you'd be much better off getting a device that can play mkv files. DVDs are extremely low resolution (720 x 480 for NTSC) and mkv's down converted to that res will look significantly worse. Something like a WD TV is very reasonably priced. roberthleeii 58
Why do you want to burn to DVD. I have 4 players sitting in my closet getting covered in dust now that I have mb3 set up arou d the house and on the phones and tablets.
swhitmore 781
I can't recommend Freemake Video Converter enough. Great software and very easy to use. Just make sure you a VERY careful when installing. It will try to get you to install bloatware if you tick the wrong boxes (or don't untick the right ones). Once it is installed however, it will be perfect for what you want.
