I tried to get help yesterday but am not receiving any more responses for the issue since yesterday. My media will not playback. The Fire TV app recognizes the server until I hit play. sgoodman175 1 Posted May 26, 2019 Author Share Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) I do not understand how that can be. None of my media will play. The files are there. They have been in the same location for several years now. I do not move things around, only add movies to the movie folder without renaming anything. My media played 2 days ago. Yesterday is when they stopped playing. I have not made any additions or changes what so ever to the Toshiba E: drive in several months. I do notice that when I hit play, the light on the drive does not blink like it should when the app tries to play the movie. I have done nothing that would cause the media to not be recognized anymore. Is there some setting that could have been flipped? It does do this in the server when TV tries to play movie (see photo) Emby Software up to date. Fire TV software up to date. Restart Emby server does not fix. Scan libraries does not fix. I need help, but also I need patience too as I am having to learn things as I go, just as I had to learn how to use Notepad yesterday. Thank you for your assistance. sgoodman175 1 Posted May 26, 2019 Author Share Posted May 26, 2019 Ok, I was going to try and add a couple of new movies to the Emby library when I noticed a something. Seems that when I created my Emby library, all the media was saved from location E:\Video\Movies.......but for some reason now the external drive location changed from E to F? ( See attached photos ) This seems to be why it can't play the media. Do you know how this happened? Do you know how to rename back to original? Am I going to have to reload my library?
