darkassassin07 418
If I have a video playing and I pause that video then press the android home button, the picture-in-picture video shows up (still paused, but probably shouldn't show up at all if paused). If I then close the picture-in-picture player with the little X in the top corner, when I return to the app (with its app icon or via recent apps) and press play, the audio resumes but the video stays as a black screen. Sometimes when I return to the app and resume playback without having closed the picture-in-picture player it stays on the last frame that was displayed but still resumes the audio. This second part isn't consistent, sometimes it resumes just fine. If I closed the player however it is always a black screen. Stopping playback and restarting it returns to normal. Luke 36999
Can you try 3.0.51+ and see how that compares: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/74729-emby-for-android-mobile-3051/ Thanks.
darkassassin07 418
This appears to be resolved on my end: The picture-in-picture player only shows up if a video is actively playing (not paused) when you switch apps, and returning to the app then resuming playback works as you would expect. Thanks Luke, great work. Emby for android v3.0.

darkassassin07 418
I've noticed a similar bug in version 3.0.60 When video is playing, I switch apps bringing up the picture-in-picture player. When I return to the app, I usualy tap on the player expanding it and displaying the controls, then I press the full screen button and that works just fine. If instead I return to the app using its launch icon (either the one saved to my home screen, or the main android app launcher. I haven't tried recent apps) the video pauses. Then when I press play, the audio resumes while the video stays frozen on the paused frame. This isn't entirely consistent, leaving the app then returning via its icon works sometimes but not others :/ All of this is while video is actively playing, not paused. When the picture-in-picture player shows up, I'm leaving it open, just moving it around as needed. Edited July 14, 2019 by darkassassin07

darkassassin07 418
I am still noticing a small problem with this one: Video is playing, I switch apps bringing up the picture-in-picture player which is working just fine. I then return to the android home screen and click on the emby app icon (instead of returning to emby via the fullscreen button in the p-in-p player) bringing the video back to fullscreen. Playback pauses and I get a single video frame the size of the p-in-p player. From there if I resume playback, the audio starts but the video stays frozen on the single frame. To reproduce: -start video playback -press android home (opens the picture-in-picture player) -open another app (no issue of you return to emby immediately instead) -press android home again -open emby with its app icon (not by the fullscreen button in the p-in-p player) This screenshot was after returning to the app. Playback was playing while this was taken. <img removed> Android 8.0.0 Emby for android 3.0.87 Edited August 8, 2020 by darkassassin07
