Hi great developers of Emby :)

Just a small notice:

Are you aware of the fact that the search option in the Apple TV app and within iOS apps does not work for the HOME VIDEO'S library?

I don't know if search works for Home Video's on Android, but I do know it works on the web app.

Any change the search option will work for Home Video's on Apple TV and iOS?

Hi.  Can you explain exactly what you searched for and what you expected to return and test the exact same thing in the web app?

Thanks.

Hi.  Can you explain exactly what you searched for and what you expected to return and test the exact same thing in the web app?

Thanks.

I have a few movies (Type: Movie library) and those titles come up nicely when I search some key words in iOS and Apple TV apps. But I also have lots and lots of personal content (Type: Home video's/photo's library) and I gave then human friendly titles so I could be searched easily.

In the web app (Emby via webbrowser) searching key words for Home video's/photo's library works great and does give me good results but when I use the search in iOS or Apple TV app to find home video's I always get an empty result.

Movies library search works on every platform but Home video's/photo's library does not (for iOS and Apple TV that is).

Hi there, are you sure about this? The web app and iOS should be identical. What version of Emby Server are you running?

Web app (Emby via web browser) result searching for the letters 'trap':

iOS app result searching for the letters 'trap':

Apple TV app result searching for the letters 'trap':

As you can see the VIDEO section isn't there in the Apple TV app, and just to be clear: There's nothing more when I scroll down ;)

Some technical info:

Synology (with Intel processor) with Emby version 4.1.1.0-1 (I believe this is the latest but I had this problem from day 1 about a year ago).

PS. As you can see I was a little off. The iOS app does work correctly but the Apple TV app does not.

Okay, so Corey, it looks like maybe a search for type "Video" may be missing?

So the iOS and web apps are identical?

They both work correct yes. It's only the Apple TV app that's is not showing search result for HOME VIDEO's.

And if you're going to update the Apple TV anyway... What about adding the RANDOM PLAY option for libraries like in the iOS an Web app :)

We have lots and lots of beautiful videos of our daughter b ut we always view the upper ones. It would be great to randomly get a selection.

PS. I really love Emby and absolutely prefer it above PLEX.
