Ninko 63
Hi, I've just noticed that when connecting to the Emby server by putting the information in manually you ain't presented with a list of users, you have to type in your username. Is that how it's meant to be?

Is that how it's meant to be? make sure the "hide user from login screen" isn't selected. also, make sure you give your users passwords once you do this. Ninko 63
Yeah I did all that, a users list is displayed on the Roku app, but not on the fire TV stick?
ebr 14904
Hi. Can you please use the button on that screen to send a log from the app and then come back here and tell me when you did that?
Ninko 63
Not only is it not showing the usernames but it's not keeping me logged in either. I sent the log as requested today, 28 April around 19:00 BST.
Solution ebr 14904 Posted April 28, 2019 Solution Share Posted April 28, 2019 Is this a remote connection? If so have you definitely confirmed that the NEW checkbox to hide for remote connections is not checked. It is defaulted to checked.
Luke 37022
This is what Ebr is referring to: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/72091-41019-hide-users-from-login-screens/ If you want the user to be visible on the login screen, make sure the option is enabled. Otherwise you'll need to manually enter the username. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Ninko 63
Sorry, I didn't know the settings had changed recently. I've changed that now so hopefully that will fix that problem. But would that stop the users login details being remembered and signing in automatically? Thanks
Luke 37022
It will not affect remembering and signing in automatically. It only impacts the authentication, meaning, if you do have to authenticate, it determines if you'll see the user displayed on the login screen or not. Does this answer your question? Ninko 63
In that case the problem of not remembering login details remain then, only noticed it on the fire TV stick.

This has happened to me in the past. Uninstall/reinstall the app solves it.
Ninko 63
I'll try doing what @@mastrmind11 said first and get back to you. I can't do it straight away as it's at my father-in-law's. Thanks
