In the latest Android TV release the themes have changed a bit.

The "green" highlight is now to bright and makes things hard to read.

It's almost florescent green now.  It looks really bad in many themes as is clashes with the other colors of the theme.

For example if you are scrolling through dhow episodes it's almost impossible to read the highlighted episode now.  All text is now white on this now "florescent" green which has next to NO CONTRAST.

Carlo

I know, how about just having a white rectangle round it ?

Seriously, it is a pretty big block of green, and while I like splashes of colour...

I see what you mean.

What's changed @ebr and can you revert it please.

Still not sure the green is correct - looks a bit washed-out.

@ebr Is it the same tone of green as before?

Also, I changed my theme to the BLUE one, but it still has a green highlight. Shouldn't it be blue, to match the theme?

It is not the same as in the app before but it is the same shade of green used in all the other apps.

The focus highlight has never changed with the theme.  That is possible for the future.

Can you revert it to what it was please, as it's too bright.

Or, as @Arbee99's suggested, just a highlight box?

The focus highlight has never changed with the theme. That is possible for the future.

Would be nice to match the theme being used.

Just use another color NOT green for text zone (shadow or whatever calls).

I'm pretty sure that a good text with a drop shadow applied works. Is the same principle used for the subtitles, and everybody knows that the subtitles can be read in any situation.

The new green in buttons looks modern and clean. Sad that one color is used to all.

Sad that the new color was removed for the old one from the buttons.

I always suggest NOT use high contrast in any theme.

Not all of us need high contrast. High contrast needs be there for people that need that feature, but not to be used like "default"

Sorry @ebr , I know that I talked a lot about.

The interface looks cheap. Emby is a great interface, but the fine detail is not there. Period.

You need polish the detail in graphics. in APPS and Web.

BTW, the image quality of the images (posters, etc), lost a lot of quality.

Thanks for read

I noticed on some places the green is way to bright I like the green of emby but used in moderation. When you use a dark theme you don't want green highlight everywhere and if you go to episodes the green highlight doesn't look good. For change something in emby theatre looks better. The highlight is grey but the background is too dark so don't want Android TV to go down that path.

Is it only me or has the backdrop gone a bit too dark when I started using Android TV it was bright but it is now dark. Hopefully we are not going the route of Emby Theater which you can't see anything.

Android TV functionality is there just needs bit of tweaks to make it really stand out. My family is starting to warm up to Android TV client and noticed that they have been using it.

Don't know if the backgrounds have got darker. Regardless, I would like them brighter and preferably with no fading from top to bottom, but I suppose people actually like to be able to read the text for some reason...
