artatgray 3
Hi Emby team, I'm just curious in regards to how Emby Android handles streaming to Chromecast Audio: does it merely send the URL to the CCA which then subsequently handles the fetching and processing of the audio stream? Or, does my Android device fetch the stream and then send it on to CCA, thus acting a gateway which must always remain active? The reason I ask is, I've noticed that when I start a stream from my Emby Windows server, via Emby Android on my tablet, if I disconnect Emby Android from my CCA the network activity remains higher than I would expect it to. Kind regards, Bill

artatgray 3
Hi, you mean network activity from the Chromecast receiver? No, as I have no way of monitoring that - I don't think. I was referring the activity on my tablet. I've installed a network spying application on it to track the errant behavior; if I find that it's Emby related, I'll let you know...
