Yvese 2
As title says. I'm using a KS8000 with a Yamaha receiver. I don't know when this started happening but previously when it worked, the audio would always go through my receiver when loading Emby. Now when I load it it only uses the TV speakers. If I have cable TV on before loading Emby I can still hear it when loading the app. Before it would mute it when loading. No settings have been changed. I'm using 4.1.0.25 beta and w/e the latest version is on the Samsung app page.
Luke 36997
Hi, can we please go over an example playback session? Thanks.
Yvese 2
Hi, can we please go over an example playback session? Thanks. I load up Emby and play any video/movie/trailer. Sound goes through TV speakers instead of speakers connected to receiver. Seems to ignore HDMI source.

Yvese 2
How have you wired your connections? Receiver is connected to TV through HDMI ARC slot.
Luke 36997
Can we look at how content is playing? is it direct playing or transcoding, or something in between?

Luke 36997
Adding @@SamES to see what he thinks, but I don't believe the app can do anything about this. I think this is something you need to manage in the TV's audio settings.
Yvese 2
Wanted to add that it's my 65KS8000 that's connected via receiver in my living room. My 49KS8000 in my bedroom uses a soundbar connected via optical and works just fine. Just seems like the app isn't recognizing HDMI and instead defaults to whatever the TV uses. The app will use whatever the TV’s selected output is, HDMI or tv speakers. We can’t change the selection
