On my ipad it takes around 17 seconds it is not much faster on other clients. If that is normal for now i can understand but hopefully in the future it will improve. There was an explanation I read somewhere but can't recall the technical reason. I started using Live TV because I an additional computer and don't want to use any more xboxs as extenders.
