nmbrg 3
Anyone here having a Zidoo Z9S and are using it with the media added thru SMB-share? I just bought mine, and i cant add my share with SMB for some reason. It only says that its the wrong credentials when i try to add the share in Home Theater 2. And when trying to add it in the media center app it just says that it couldnt connect. There is nothing wrong with the share, i can connect/add it on other devices. And i know its the right credentials. The share is on a synology nas with it set to minimum smbv2 and maximum smbv3 (the z9s supports smbv2). anyone got any ideas/suggestions? (yeah i tried the zidoo forum, but that forum is more or less dead)
clarkss12 295
Strange, I have the Zidoo X9S, and have no issues at all with SMB shares. I have 2 Synology and one WD NAS's. Also, external HD connected to my router, no issues at all mapping through SMB. All my devices are connected via Ethernet and connected to Ethernet switches. You may want to check your router settings.

But works fine with SMBv1. but i sure as hell dont like it. SMBv1 is way to unsecure.

nmbrg 3
That's interesting, thanks for the info. Actually i got SMBv2 to work as well. Apparently the old version (latest stable) i was using didnt support SMBv2, or had a bug that made it not work. When i updated to the latest beta release SMBv2 worked. Unfortunately this isnt stated anywhere. And i wasnt keen on using beta software. But i was forced to now. Edited April 24, 2019 by nmbrg
