LG App just does play anything and its so slow

I have an LG 55E8PLA - pretty new. I have a sinology 1817+ and a 1019+.

 

Both synology's work fantastically well with the iPhone app with the web play direct to the server etc.

 

All the media is added, all the images and thumbs etc populate really quickly. 

 

However the LG on the same network a) all the info and media and images are extremely slow to populated 2mins + sometimes and B) playback either 99% doesn't work or does work and again is near impractical for watching anything. 

 

If the web player and phone apps work why doesn't the LG even on direct play.

 

I have the latest LG app and LG firmware etc. 

 

I cannot replace PLEX if I can't get all players working well. Thanks 

 

Plex works well on LG despite not having been updated since 2017 or something like that.

55E8PLA is technical identical to my TV from a WebOS/Processor standpoint - and mine is very quick so I don't believe it is the App.  

 

If the images are slow to load, then I suspect the network - are you on wireless or wired (or both) ?

Wireless. It’s more that enough band width for what I am wanting to do. As before if Plex is ok on the same server and other tv apps are ok as well as other server side apps performing well in different circumstances then it’s not connection based, it’s not server based it’s the screen play app. Cheers. Hi Luke,

Whilst I am appreciate diagnosis of the issue is difficult it’s also difficult to take shots or video of the screen and still make everything clear. Do you support the LG screenplay app? Or am I asking for something you don’t support? Is there a reason why the app won’t save the local IP I have to enter it every other time. Cheers,

Screenplay is not the official Emby LG App - may I suggest try using that first ...
