Hello,

I don't know if this is the place for my question but my goal is to host a website on the same server as emby (which has online access) is running .
And, since website are getting "trolled" by people who are bored, do you think there would be any extra security measurements needed?

The website is going to run on the O/S disk, the content for Emby are on the other disks, ofc internally editable by another usergroup.

Thanks in advance!

If you don't ensure that your webserver is secure, then it will be more than just Emby you'll have to worry about.  But it shouldn't be hard to follow the security guidance from the providers of the software you use, in which case the web will be completely cut off from your internal systems.

Thanks for your reply, yeah but will SSL+Fail2ban (ubuntu setup) be enough for the Emby part though?

basically yes, assuming your externally exposed other parts are secure.

you can also put Cloudflare in front of everything (for free) to make it nice and clean.

That will definitely be an option once the app works on my Samsung TV's (2017 and 2018 model) and i can remove my dvd players
