Crash to home screen when trying to list servers

Just in case anyone else has seen this. On one of my TCL Roku tvs when I launch Emby you get a spinner on the select server screen and then back out to the Roku home screen. Happened on both Emby and Emby Beta. In order to get back in I had to remove both Emby and Emby Beta and the reinstall Emby. Then it listed all my servers and worked as expected.

Hi @@pcm2a

I have the same issue this is what I did to fix the issue

1. select your roku app and press on the start on your remove and remove
2. restart your roku by doing : System --> System Restart --> Restart
3. Streaming Channel --> type "emby" --> install it
4. open your Emby --> select emby connect

make sure you restart after deleting the app otherwise you will encounter the same issue

Sorry guys, I'm afraid this one has us scratching our heads right now...

What seem to happen @@ebr its if you are connect using Roku connect since 26th late at night the welcome screen will stay on the screen

on the server side no connection is done.

It will stay on the welcome screen for ever or go back to the Roku main screen . I have 2 model.. Roku premium and Roku Sticks+ ... the prenium stay on the screen as the Stick+ go back to the home screen.

I'm wondering if it a change of IP of the emby connect system and Roku do not update it.

same thing. Emby and Emby beta crashes on start, never get to server select or anything else. Roku Ultra, Premiere and Insignia Roku TV

Reinstalling the app and signing in via Emby connect works ONE time. Once I exit the app, on the next start it will crash.

This is only happening after connecting to a remote server. If I try to change servers before exiting - also crash.

If I never connect to a remote server and only use my own - no problems.

started about 3 days ago.

if you unsinstall, reboot and resintall the app. then connect with emby connect next time you login it will crash again

this is the solution I use and it work well

1. select your roku app and press on the star on your remote and then remove channel
2. restart your roku by doing : System --> System Restart --> Restart
3. Streaming Channel --> search --> type "emby" --> install it
4. open your Emby --> Skip
5. enter host: <host addresss or IP>
6. Change port for : <port number>
7. Connect
8. Select your user
9. type your password
10. you should be in
11. press Home
12. Select your username again then type your password
13. now you should be good

What’s the beta version?

to install the beta version @@Jgp1989 uninstall emby channel on your roku

in your browser go to https://my.roku.com/account/add?channel=EmbyBeta to install the beta version

you will need to login to your roku account

updated

you may need to do a system update on your roku when the channel is been added
