abescalamis 76
I created 2 libraries in the Emby server, - 1) "Movies" has 4 folders (Kids, Foreign, Bluray, Webrips) the other library is 2) "Foreign" has only one folder (Foreign). The problem I have is that kodi only displays the movies from the "Foreign" folder in one library instead of both libraries. I tested addon mode and native mode and they both do the same. Any suggestion? Edited March 21, 2019 by abescalamis
Luke 37057
Hi there, have you run a sync from Kodi after doing this?
Angelblue05 4130
Launch emby for kodi. What do you see? Do you see both libraries? If you access the Movies library, what do you see? If it says dynamic next to the library name, it means the library is not synced to Kodi. Open the context menu on it > sync library to kodi. abescalamis 76
I tested this in so many ways. @@Luke, yes, I ran a sync, then I did repair my entire library , and last I reset my database and did everything from scratch. @@Angelblue05, yes, both libraries are there, but the movies from the Foreign folder show only once, some show on the "Movie" library and some in the "foreign" library. as a test I also went to the emby for kodi addon and removed the Foreign library, then all movies where shown in the "Movies" library, and it did the same when I removed the "Movie Library" all movies where shown in the "Foreign" library. Both libraries contain the same folder (foreign) and kodi can only display it once. Edited March 21, 2019 by abescalamis
Angelblue05 4130
I see. Why are you setup like that? Why have the same folder in two libraries? @@Luke How does it treats those items server side when that happens? it's an unusual setup. Will it create two entries for the same movie, or only one? When looking up ancestors, will both library be shown? Edited March 21, 2019 by Angelblue05
Luke 37057
Ok i didn't realize that was the setup. That is not currently supported. It's something we'd like to be able to accommodate, but it's not officially supported at the moment.
Solution Angelblue05 4130 Posted March 21, 2019 Solution Share Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) @@abescalamis Your setup is not officially supported. You have a few options here: Remove the foreign folder from your Movies library or vice versa. Don't sync the foreign library. You can use the dynamic entry instead, point a shortcut to it in your skin. Use Embycon instead. Edited March 21, 2019 by Angelblue05
