Well, then I guess go with your comfort level. The result will be the same.

I'd agree with Doofus on this.  Do what you're comfortable with.

However, this is pretty easy to do.  You could always login to the ISP provided modem and take a look around to see if you clearly see how to switch the mode.  If so, then you also know how to undue it as well.  Doing it yourself adds to your own ability and you just moved up one small step on the self sufficiency ladder. :)  You can also do it at a time that's convenient for you vs Comcast.

Always good to learn the basics. Occasionally you'll have to troubleshoot. A little knowledge goes a long way.

Yes, it’s always good to learn. I was actually browsing around my modem/router combo, and I can see where things have been put into place, I just can’t edit anything. I’ve looked up to how to put it into Bridge Mode, and all the sites show and add / remove button in their photos while mine does not.

It’s probably best if I just let my ISP do the work.

Well, I now have access remotely to my Test Emby Server as well as anything else I need to connect to externally. I called my ISP, told them to turn on Bridge Mode for our modem/router combo, and then just had to setup PPPoE via my personal router.

Now, I'm just looking for a DDNS service to use for FREE and application to update it so it can update our external IP automatically since my router does not allow any other service besides TZO.com (which was acquired from DYN.com) and DYN.com itself since it is a paid only option.

I think I will go with NOIP.com with their application for my external use and updater.

Thanks for all your help, @Doofus as well as @cayars. Could not do it without you both. If I ever have more questions, I'll be sure to ask you both as well everyone else on this forum.

Thank you,

Vinnie Sims
