EZEd 53 Posted March 19, 2019 Share Posted March 19, 2019 I just set up a Samsung UN75NU7200 (2018 model). I loaded the Emby app (don't know version number but it was the only one offered from Samsung store). I am running latest stable server for Windows 10. The Emby app functions correctly on everything except the grid guide does not come up inside of Live TV. I have guide setup correctly for HDHomeRun Quattro in the server. I subscribe to both Premium TV and DVR service through HDHomeRun. I can view grid guide on Emby web app, Emby Theater for Windows 10, Roku and Samsung Galaxy phone but not on Samsung smart tv app. Is there a setting that I am missing? Does something need to be reinstalled or is this expected/normal behavior? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx Ed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

EZEd 53 Posted March 19, 2019 Author Share Posted March 19, 2019 Will have to let you know when I get home. Not with the unit right now but I just loaded to the TV on Sunday 3/17. It's the only version that I could see in the Samsung store and I ran update on the TV before installing so the TV says it has latest firmware. According to the device manager on the server the client version for the Samsung TV is Emby Theater 1.0.45. If that is not what you're looking for then I'll have to wait and actually check from the TV itself when I get home. Let me know what else is needed. FrostByte 5044 Posted March 19, 2019 Share Posted March 19, 2019 (edited) When at home the easiest way to see the version is when the TV is up and running the app version should be listed in the Active Devices in the Dashboard. 1.0.45 looks like a correct version number though Also, in the Samsung store it will list the version you have loaded and the latest version available right next to it. What I see is that under "My Media" on the Home page where Live TV is the first icon I don't have the guide when I push in to Live TV. However if I scroll further down on the Home page to the Live TV section, the guide is listed there and is operational. This is different than with my other app clients where even when I push into Live TV under My Media the guide is there as well. I guess Samsung app is a bit different. I do have functionality. Just a tad more laborious to get to than what I'm used to. Is this an anomoly or should the guide show where ever there is a Live TV entry point? I did confirm to have Samsung app version 1.0.45.
