Okay, I just tested this again.  I put my server machine to sleep.  Then brought up the Android TV app and, when it timed out trying to connect to the server, I got a dialog telling me so and offering the option to wake the server (the default button).  Pressed this button and my machine immediately woke up.

What version is the server and on what OS/platform?

We are sending out the wake attempt but we are having to send it on the default broadcast address of 255.255.255.255 because your server is not providing us with a specific one.

I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.

The mac address isn't the problem (I don't think).  It is the broadcast IP address.  Is your server on a different subnet from the app device?

My subset ist 255.255.255.0 for the completly network

The two apps are using the same code right now and I can see in the Android TV log that we did successfully send the wake command.

The only thing I can think of at this point is network differences.  Your mobile is obviously on wireless.  How is the Shield connected to the network?
