ebr 14905
Hi. This should work provided the network is allowing the magic packets.

ebr 14905
Okay, I just tested this again. I put my server machine to sleep. Then brought up the Android TV app and, when it timed out trying to connect to the server, I got a dialog telling me so and offering the option to wake the server (the default button). Pressed this button and my machine immediately woke up. What version is the server and on what OS/platform?

ebr 14905
Well, that's quite interesting and explains why it wasn't working for you before. Can you please reproduce that error and then send a log from the app?

ebr 14905
We are sending out the wake attempt but we are having to send it on the default broadcast address of 255.255.255.255 because your server is not providing us with a specific one. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.
Libelle78 0
maybe I can enter the mac address manually? Edited March 22, 2019 by Libelle78
ebr 14905
The mac address isn't the problem (I don't think). It is the broadcast IP address. Is your server on a different subnet from the app device?

Luke 37029
The mobile app doesn't produce a log file anymore. What do you need that for?
Libelle78 0
i hope you can see, how the android app wake the my server and then you can see what the problem is with androidTV on my shield Edited March 23, 2019 by Libelle78
ebr 14905
The two apps are using the same code right now and I can see in the Android TV log that we did successfully send the wake command. The only thing I can think of at this point is network differences. Your mobile is obviously on wireless. How is the Shield connected to the network?
